My previous attempt to photograph Lake Buninjon, east of the Grampians near Willaura, was thwarted by heavy rain, and I’m not the hardy type. Happily, the next visit yielded good photo opportunities, as the late afternoon midwinter light was very appealing.
After browsing the stalls at the annual Easter Saturday market in nearby Balmoral, I sat for a while beside the street, watching the passers-by.

Looking back at the road we’ve travelled, with lots of twists and turns, successes and setbacks, I see how we’ve continued to strive to meet the challenges. If I’d known what lay ahead on this journey, I’d have doubted my ability to endure the bumps, the slips, tyres sometimes struggling to grip. But here we are, at just one of many peaks, and the view is alright.
