This is one of my favourite shots from our recent fog day out – as soon as I saw the TV, this Dire Straits song Money for Nothing flooded my brain. I was glad to have worn rubber boots, so I could wade into the river.
The Wimmera has received decent rains recently, and locals have been talking about it being a ‘normal’ winter like ‘twenty-five years ago’. The Glenelg River has been ‘up’, causing much interest for local tourists.

Wannon Falls is situated about 15km west of Hamilton, practically beside the Glenelg Highway in south-west Victoria. Driving towards Hamilton yesterday I had the impulse to take a look, and after decent rains the flow was looking very healthy.
