Ballarat Swap Meet: cheeky monkey

This little chap seemed very happy with his “new” bicycle, a strange machine cut down from a 1935 Malvern Star and cobbled together with other bike parts.
Speaking of being happy with a new toy, my Panasonic Lumix DMC GX7, coupled with the 20mm f1.7 lens, did a pretty good job as a street photography shooter. I didn’t think I liked this lens much, with its “in-between” equivalent angle of 40mm, but with the camera set to the inbuilt monochrome filter, I was able to get some great images from close and far, and – importantly – was able to pull out a lot more detail from the shadows than I expected, with my limited editing ability. The original image was quite dark, and this has also been quite heavily cropped down.
