Postcards from the Road: Mt Leura, Camperdown

image

The couple of times I’ve visited Camperdown, it has impressed me with its handsome streetscape and amazing surrounding landscapes, set as it is on a vast volcanic plain. A detour on the return journey from Geelong today took us through this lovely district, and a trip up to the Mount Leura lookout was in order.
This shot doesn’t indicate the beauty of the plain, but focuses on the idea of the simple beauty that’s right in front of our eyes.
Shot with Sony QX100 lens style camera, processed with Snapseed app.

  1. Mel , I visited Colac and Pomborniete on Wed with a friend who was tracing family history. We took so many photos of the various stone walls and the paddocks that had not been cleared of. Volcanic
spewings. How hard to farm that land and cope with the onslaught of rabbits
