Greetings from Geelong: finding a comfortable place

I’m often uncomfortable in crowds, and can find cities – even small ones like this – overwhelming. Without a clear plan of what I’m going to do for a few hours, I sometimes wander aimlessly trying to figure out how best to spend my time. Usually, the most “productive” and enjoyable times are those without any purpose other than to explore randomly (and taking photos, of course!)

A quick look at a map, then I headed for the north shore area, feeling that I might find industrial landscapes…and I was right. I found a factory right beside the foreshore, and wandered around with phone in hand (I’m test driving my new phone’s camera, a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact), enjoying the music coming from a car parked by the sea below, where youngsters were fishing peaceably on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Don’t bother clicking to view full size, the quality ain’t cutting it!
