Ballarat Swap Meet: lost in paradise

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

You may have noticed that I’ve been off the air for a while, and that’s because I’ve been to my first Ballarat Swap Meet. The meet, which is considered to be the largest in the southern hemisphere, is set up at the old airport, which adjoins the new one, and small aircraft were taking off over our heads regularly.

The vendor site I was staying at is set up along the runway, which means there’s little dust, and the cars for sale are within easy strolling distance. Believe me when I say I was lost in paradise. Astonishingly, I spent very little money, choosing instead to take home photos. So as you’d expect, for the next while you’ll be bombarded by photos I took over the three days I was there.

(See that 2CV “snail car” at far right? Keep an eye out for more photos to come…)
