Harrow Fashion Show: milliner Neil Grigg at work

I often hear it said that Harrow punches above its weight, and once again tonight we proved it true.

Harrow Bush Nursing Centre organised an amazing fashion show in our town hall, featuring fashion designs by young designer James Penrose, and creations by renowned milliner Neil Grigg. Both Neil and James grew up in the district, and have gone on to become successful in their fields.

Over 200 people dressed for cocktails and turned up, on a school night no less, to enjoy delicious canapes – prepared by some of our talented local cooks – drinks, and social chatter, before the models bounded down the runway in a spectacular array of fine outfits and millinery confections.

After the show was over, Neil’s hats were put out for anyone to try on. My gorgeous friend Crystal sat on the stage for a few moments while Neil adjusted this stunning piece for her, and I was really glad to have snapped a couple of shots of this intimate moment.
